Very few people have lived in the Woods of Shavano since its inception. When the Woods of Shavano was developed, only a couple of buildings in the area eve existed. The closest grocery store was located on I-10 and Wurzbach Road.
Woods of Shavano began in 1972 and was a project by three developers and soon after the first model home was complete. Funny fact the newest Woods of Shavano residents would have to pick up their mail at the post office on Bandera Road. A neighborhood pool and clubhouse were built along with some tennis courts.
Currently there are 14 homes for sale and range from $250K – $410K which is such a value for anyone looking for their first home.
